Our Mission.

The California Meadows Collective is dedicated to promoting resilient, regenerative landscapes through the preservation and restoration of California's native grasslands. We advance ecological education, support community engagement, and empower future land stewards by teaching the practical use of native grasses and low-water, fire-resistant plant materials. We cultivate knowledge, inspire conservation, and advocate for initiatives that restore biodiversity, reduce water consumption, enhance fire safety, and honor the harmony between nature and cultivation.

Programmatic Pillars

  • Education & Cirriculum Development

We provide comprehensive educational resources and partner with botanical institutions and universities to create curriculum that brings California's native grasslands to life through hands-on learning, citizen science, and restoration projects.

  • Public Outreach & Empowerment

Through exhibits, public tours, and accessible resources, we elevate awareness of California's native grasslands while empowering individuals and communities with the expertise and support needed to adopt sustainable land management and restoration practices.

  • Restoration & Research

We conduct microplot studies on species adaptability across California's microclimates, support seed banks and native nurseries, and collaborate with community-led restoration projects to achieve measurable ecological outcomes that restore biodiversity and build climate resilience.
